News
The first Transnational Project Meeting of UpskillingRURAL took place on December 14-15 at Łukasiewicz-ITEE in Radom, Poland. Partners engaged in detailed discussions on task distribution and implementation methods. The project consists of four Work Packages:
WP1 – Management
WP2 – Platform “Rural World”
WP3 – Microcredentials for Rural Tourism
WP4 – Community engagement, Focus groups, Pilot implementation, Dissemination
Let’s recall that the aim of the UpskillingRURAL (Erasmus+) project is to promote active citizenship by empowering young people’s sense of initiative through youth entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship, supporting rural communities, and creating employment opportunities for themselves. This, in turn, aims to facilitate the integration of young people with limited opportunities (NEETs) living in rural areas into the labor market.
However, the meeting was not only about discussing project activities. A crucial element of any collaboration is to get to know the other partners personally and build closer relationships – and in the case of UpskillingRURAL, we succeeded 150%! Within minutes of the meeting, we already knew this would be a very productive three-year cooperation!
In addition to two days of intensive work, the partnership also had the chance to try local dishes and take a walk along Żeromskiego Street, beautifully decorated for Christmas.
