PBL4SPEAKING
About the Project
The PBL4Speaking project focuses on enabling language teachers to improve students’ speaking skills through innovative and interactive lessons. The project specifically aims to update teaching methodologies related to oral language skills and, for this purpose, develops a toolkit centered on project-based learning (PBL). It also highlights the importance of foreign language skills to increase young people’s chances of finding employment. By enhancing the skills of language teachers, the project seeks to positively impact young people and improve the quality of youth work.
Objectives
To enhance language teachers’ teaching skills
To increase their competence in delivering language lessons by applying innovative teaching methods (project-based learning) and digital tools
To develop educators’ ability to respect social and emotional aspects, creating a positive impact on students’ learning process
To make educators more competitive in the labor market
To improve students’ speaking skills and their chances of integration into social and professional life
Results
PBL4Speaking aims to create a Project-Based Methods and Exercises Toolkit for language teachers; this facilitates the delivery of innovative project-based courses to young people such as university students, Erasmus+ participants, EU volunteers, or young job seekers. This initiative enables educators to develop new skills and increase their competitiveness in the labor market, while also allowing students to improve their speaking skills for better integration into their host countries.
