COWORKING4YOUTH
We live in a rapidly changing society where it is essential that everyone has the capacity to act according to opportunities and ideas, collaborate with others, manage dynamic careers, and shape the future for the public good.
To achieve these goals, we need people, teams, and organizations with an entrepreneurial mindset in every area of life.
The European Commission has declared 2023 as the European Year of Skills. The Skills Agenda aims to enhance the relevance of skills in the EU to strengthen sustainable competitiveness, ensure social fairness, and increase our resilience. This is being pursued through 12 “actions,” one of which focuses on promoting entrepreneurial skills.
The agenda builds upon many ongoing EU initiatives, such as the European Skills Agenda, which emphasizes that a step change is necessary to focus on the development of entrepreneurial skills.
The COWORKING4YOUTH project aims to promote entrepreneurial attitudes, revitalize key competences, and provide new business operation models in rural environments.
Coworking spaces can be a driving force for business development and innovation by enhancing talent potential and creating synergy and networking opportunities among entrepreneurs and people who can address specific regional challenges.
They become local hubs of knowledge and information sharing and can activate rural areas by building social capital and generating new jobs (or job opportunities) within local communities.

About the Project
OBJECTIVES OF COWORKING4YOUTH
Leveraging the significant potential presented by the key trends outlined in the future job and skills market, this initiative aims to enhance the capacity to transform vacant spaces into collaborative working environments, thereby promoting employment, entrepreneurship, and ultimately the social inclusion of young people in rural areas of the EU.
The project seeks to introduce the concept of coworking to youth centers in rural regions—combining the social impact of youth participation with the promotion of youth entrepreneurship both inside and beyond coworking spaces.
